On Monday Kennedy turns ONE year old. I seriously can’t believe it – this year has flown by!
We’re having some family over on Saturday to celebrate her first birthday, so I’ve been in party planning mode for the past few weeks. Although it will only be a few people (thanks COVID), I still want to make it extra special for her. My version of “themes” is usually just a color theme, but like Kennedy’s nursery and the bunny wallpaper that inspired it all, it only took one item (a butterfly dress) for my creative vision to change 🙂
I knew that I wanted her to wear the butterfly dress for her party, so I built the design and first birthday theme around it. You’ll see in my design board I didn’t go all butterfly, and opted for more of a garden/floral theme with gold butterfly accents. The color scheme will be primarily shades of pink, peach, and white. Like her personality, the design is bright, playful, colorful and happy. I hope she loves it!
Looking forward to celebrating our sweet girl in a few days. Here’s a little trip down memory lane. All these pictures will be printed and hung on a milestone garland. So fun to see how she’s grown!
