It's like she was made for that spot! 😍I went to @luckettstore spring market on a mission to find a few pieces of furniture for our home, and while I didn't come home with everything I was looking for, this beauty was exactly what we needed for this corner of our family room. The detailing on it is amazing, and the wood tone blends perfectly in our space. Timeworn vintage treasures like this make my heart sing!🥰❤️

Because the design process doesn't end at the concept! 👆🏻I like to make sure my designs are executed exactly how I envision, so it's important that I'm in the weeds at every step once a renovation begins. Spent the morning laying out the "flower design" for one of the guest bathrooms in my Victorian project, and while it felt like a math equation trying to get the spacing just right, I think I landed on the perfect pattern. Getting so excited to watch this one come to life 🤩✨

My dear grandmother passed away on April 29th, 2023 and I was given this vintage landscape of hers of a lake in Berlin where she grew up. It was very special to her and hung in her bedroom, and I admired it every time I visited her. I couldn't bring myself to look at it until now without bursting into tears, but today felt like the right day to hang it and I found the perfect spot for it. Right next to our bed so I can think of her every day when I wake up. Miss you so much "mom." ❤️🕊️

Some ✨monday magic✨ feat. our modern classic bathroom remodel 🤍🤎🖤

Would you believe this primary bath remodel cost less than <$10k? Some things we did to save:

- kept original vanity, and only replaced hardware, counter top and sinks
- kept general footprint and didn't move any plumbing
-opted for budget friendly tile (subway in shower and slate hex floor tile on sale)

The two items we splurged on were the shower door & vintage claw foot tub. The labor to remove original soaking tub was also pricy!

I've been so inspired by this two-toned bathroom ever since it showed up on my explore feed last year, & been itching to design something similar. Enter @amyzharasz & her beautiful historic Victorian, a blank slate (and a friend that trusts me!), and we're doing something similar in her master bath. Tile has been ordered and things are moving! 🙌🏻

These stairs were dangerous the way they were - the combo of the narrowness, steepness and the stick-on carpet squares was a recipe for falls and stubbed toes daily 🤕❗️I'm so glad we finally gave them the upgrade they badly needed. Aesthetically and functionally so much better right ?!

@carpetimpressions in McLean did an awesome job, highly recommend for local peeps!
